Farting embarrassment

I just farted in a work meeting. I had no warning and I went to say something and it just popped out - it was so unexpected. I’m sure everyone heard, but I was saying something jokey and just carried on laughing and acted as if nothing happened.

I am so so embarrassed 😞. I bet everyone’s talking about me. Please tell me this isn’t so bad!

Ah ‘tis only a fart. Others were probably trying to slip them out quietly and were secretly impressed by your boldness

Part of the reason I love my job is because on a hospital ward, no one can hear you fart! 😂

Pre Covid one tried to cover up a fart with a cough, now we try to cover up a cough with a fart .

It's a sad arse that never rejoices.

(If only it had rejoiced more discreetly, and not in front of my colleagues 😭)!

Next time, immediately cast a frown at the person sitting next to you, then carry on.

I once got invited into a board meeting along with a few colleagues and this happened. It wasn't any of us. We spent the rest of the meeting suppressing giggles and avoiding eye contact with each other. When we finally got out, we howled for a good 15 minutes.

Just laugh about it. We all fart. It is nothing to be ashamed of. It was a moment of comedy in a boring meeting. I hope you asked for it to be minuted, as someone else suggested.

My friend is a Teaching Assistant and reckons it's a perk of the job being able to fart at work. You just blame the nearest child especially it it is a silent but violent fart.

Obviously the classroom stinks, but she says nowadays the windows are always open so the smell disappears quickly.
