What after-dinner drinks do you like ?

I like to have a couple of glasses of wine with my main nosh and another one to drink with some cheese or just on its own afterwards (I can make a bottle of wine do two meals that way). A glass or two of Port is also nice with cheese; I haven't bought a bottle in years but I always remember how much I like it whenever I do. Provided it isn't too sweet. I'm also a fan of brandy generally; I can't afford posh Cognac like Remy Martin but I'm very happy with St.Remy or Morrison's Best French. I used to love Metaxa when on holiday in Greece and always brought some back with me. I've never had Malmsey or Marsala or White Port - I'm not sure what food, if any, would suit those. My Dad used to like dessert wines like Tokay and Sauternes but I think they would be too sweet for my palate. Again, it's probably a matter of finding a suitable food accompaniment.

After fish and chips, tea is best!

Baileys
Amaretto
Sambucca

I used to go to an italian restaurant and they would give you amaretto with milk as a digestif. Delicious

Grappa. Marc de Champagne. Good French or German plum or pearl brandy.

Pear not pearl! Damn autocorrect.

Whisky. A peaty one, ideally.
