Confused... is this a scam??

So I received a parcel yesterday, with my full name (including initial) and address, but I didn't order it and no-one else seems to have either... It's not really a "gift" type thing anyway (some canvas storage box thing with rope handles!) but I've no idea what the deal is and it's got me disconcerted...

I've checked my online banking and amazon orders (nothing) and changed my password just in case, although I have no idea if it even came from amazon.

Has anyone had this?? Any idea wtf is going on, and should I be "doing" anything about it??

TIA

Did you check the packaging ready carefully? My sister sent me a gift once from either JL or M&S, can't remember which, and I couldn't work out who it was from. I eventually realised there was a tiny message written onto the packing slip.

I received two Amazon items in my name to my address recently. They appeared as an order on my old account, attached to a credit card that doesn’t exist (my name, my mums address and a card number that’s not on my credit file). I called Amazon who were utterly useless but after that the order disappeared from the past orders page. So weird

Well I definitely definitely can't see them on the order page of amazon (if this is where it came from). There is a company name of "Linkease Scs Limited" on the label which seems to be some tiny firm in Ireland- but no Web address that I can see...

I'm just wondering whether Hermes would bother/be able to find out where it's from since they delivered it - it feels like they would just ignore it though on the basis that it must be a gift! But I really don't think it is, and like I say - so few people know my middle initial (and they wouldn't use it jn a posting address anyway).

It's driving me a bit nuts haha

I Googled your company and this came up.

That’s really interesting about the iPhone 13 - exactly the same thing happened to my DS two weeks ago. It took hours to I get through to the retailer (her online password wouldn’t work) and when she did they said she was the 4th person that day who’d contacted them about this.

Have you looked in your archive section on Amazon. When we were scammed they hid the order in there.

I'm not sure if this is to me or the pp who had the text, but to be clear - I had no texts, emails or other communication, just the actual parcel (which has a hermes shipping label on it)

I'm sure I'm being thick @FreeBritney, but how do I find archived orders??

This has just happened to me! I ordered a gaming monitor for sons Christmas and this arrived fine, then a short time later another one arrived when I was out (husband took in the order none the wiser). Both delivered from Amazon but they are different monitors. I was going to call Amazon in the morning but not terribly confident they will sort. Should I change my password? Has my account been hacked?

Whitefire · 15/12/2021 22:50

blue change your password as a precaution (and if you have been slack any other accounts with the same password)

Cookerhood · 15/12/2021 22:54

Hermes don't deliver Amazon stuff
