What makes you report a thread?

Just that really!

I wondered what makes people report a thread. I haven't been here long but I recently saw someone comment something like 'I report most threads I see' and it got me thinking. I've only ever reported one thread so wanted to see what reasons other people had.

I've always thought if it's something like a thread not sounding true, surely you'd just ignore it instead of reporting and then commenting you've reported it too?

I don't want this to become a thread about a thread or anything like that, just want to hear what reasons some give:)

i've reported a few spam threads, one where the OP was trying to do a suvey or something - there's a board for that so I posted to tell her and then reported to MN could move it. I've reported because I was worried about an OP who sounded seriously troubled a couple of times, and one or two troll posts (surprisingly few of those, I tend to ignore); I've asked for threads or posts of my own to be deleted a couple of times.

I've reported for lots of things. I've reported because I've not believed the OP is genuine, when the OP needed mental health support, when someone has spammed threads, etc.
