Anyone else get their nails done?

Do you have acrylics or gels?
What do you tend to get & what shape?

I've never had anything more than a file and polish. However Facebook started showing me videos by Kirsty Meakin and now I am becoming a bit obsessed... it's so satisfying to watch! I work clinically so can't have extensions or polish but when I'm next on annual leave I'm going to get some done!

Acrylic extensions gel polish- been getting my nails done for many years!

I've normally get white tip french manicure and change shape each time - think I'll go square next. Best thing with a French manicure is that it isn't obvious when it starts to grow out. Probably go red with glitter for Christmas.

What is builder gel please? Is it the dipping powder?

I normally get shellac/gel polish over my natural nails - done every 3 weeks with a pedicure every 6 weeks. I like nude blush pinks or coral, sometimes with a glitter accent which I know is naff but makes me happy! I find it a really nice pick me up deciding on colour and having someone else do it for me

I have fairly short coffin in a single colour. Acrylic nails.

I purely get them don't because I feel like I don't have to worry about the state of my own nails before big meetings at work.

Makes me feel more 'put together' with minimal effort from me.

Coffin shaped acrylics. Very long, much longer than most people. Similar to how Khloe Kardashian has hers.

Builder gel every three weeks. It's a luxury but I love it so much. I used to pick at my nails compulsively due to anxiety, and I had to start out with gel extensions just to give them a chance to grow in. Now I have lovely nails at last and that just makes me so happy, not to mention sparing me the infections, pain etc. that used to come with picking. Usually go with strong colours (bright red at the moment).

I get shellac. My nails have been breaking so much lately that in gunna get Gel builder put on next time though

Got mine done two days ago - not to everyone's taste but I'm 22 and like these kind of designs 🤣

I do like nails like that however genuine question, do they not get in the way when washing up/shampooing your hair etc.. do you just adapt?? There is no way i could change my dds nappy and carefully apply nappy cream with those

Gels every 3 weeks. Always short and neat and always pillar box red.
Absolutely love my nails looking permanently fabulous!

BIAB on my own nails, squoval, with polish, reds, pinks, green at Christmas, with glitter on my ring finger.

Usually shellac

At the moment gel extensions, short and natural looking or red/pink or dark red

Had a break for about a year it’s so nice to have nice neat nails again

And square oval as looks best on my shape fingers

I love glittery nails will have them glittery for Christmas

Intrigued as to what coffin shaped are.

Acrylic with gel polish. Almond shaped and mine are snow themed this week. I get them done every 2 weeks alongside a gel pedi.

@Isababybel I can do everything normally as if I didn't have them on. I've had them doing since I was way younger so have got use to them I guess! 😂

Acrylics, almond shaped with gel colour.

I can get 3 weeks before an infill, and they bring me so much happiness. I tend to stick to nudes, burgundy and greys. Has to be red at Christmas.
