Finally got a new job

Can I share my news pls? After a terrible year of bereavements, serious family illness and poor wellbeing I finally have some good news! I've been offered a new job - no more shift work, no more crisis management, no more team politics. I can finally see DH and kids every day because I won't be working horrible rotating shifts! Can see my wider family and friends. Sort out looking after myself. Not be exhausted all the time! I'm so happy 😃

I changed jobs a few months ago and it was such a hard decision. But, WFH, same shifts every day, and no fear of making a mistake because my boss isn't horrible, is priceless!
Glad it is going well op :(

Do you have any tips @Landlordworries ?! How did you feel when you left your previous job? Had you been there a while? How long did it take you to settle into your new job?

I was petrified! And yes I'd been there a while. I was sad because I used to work for a huge governmental department, quite a stereotypically 'admirable' job, and I didn't want to have to leave but, it was so awful that I knew I had a choice, destroy my health or go elsewhere.

I'd settled in within a few weeks but as soon as I'd started it was like an epiphany, I realised that the people I was working for/with were actually NICE! And normal, and not going to berate me for making a tiny and very easily fixable mistake, or put me under loads of unnecessary stress, or give me an insurmountable workload-and so far, I've been correct :)
