Vital question 😆 - best after-dinner mints

Any recommendations welcomed - emphasis on dark chocolate and strong mint flavour, I think, rather than a Bendicks Bittermint type with fondant filling.

@Candleabra

I like the Elizabeth shaw mint crisp ones
Me too, but I haven't seen them here in Ireland for years now Sad

@inflatableseahorses

If you'd like, you could send me a box of each of those recommended, I could sample them well, eat them all and let you know my opinion.
🤣

Maybe I should take the approach of trying them all …

If you have the time (minimal) these are easy and you can make them as minty as you like and use the off cut edges for quality control in advance

Elizabeth Shaw for Shaw! (Sorry :o)

I've seen them in TK Maxx.

onepieceoflollipop · 18/11/2021 20:00

Sorry! Just saw you didn't want Fondant!

ActonBell · 18/11/2021 20:03

Cocoa loco minty thins

Not 100% averse, but would only go thin layer, I think.

Yes, am tempted to just make them, but I am a self-acknowledged sucker for fancy packaging and just fancied it for this.

Cocoa loco minty thins
Definite contender!

Also these Moroccan Mint thins. You can probably tell I love Rococo chocolate. Their packaging is just lively as well.

Oh they look good!

Am going to Liberty too, so I feel like loads of recommended options to try. (Will get a different one for at home, purely for research purposes, obviously.)

Can't fault Bendicks - Bittermints or selection box.

Hetyanni · 18/11/2021 20:32

@Hoorayhenryyah

After eights!!! Nothing compares!
THIS

Why mess with a winning formula??

Tubbyinthehottub · 18/11/2021 20:46

I know it's Christmas when the Elizabeth Shaw come out, unfortunately they rarely make it to Boxing Day.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/11/2021 21:46

After eights or Bendicks.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/11/2021 21:48

@AuntieDolly

Only after 8's if you can put the wrappers back!
Is there anything more depressing in the entire world, than opening a box of after eights, only to discover all the wrappers are empty.Sad
