If your child started reception this year

Have you yet had an invite to either a birthday party or a play date? (Interested in when the social side kicks off)

A few already loads coming up in the next few weeks. Seems to be the thing to invite the whole class!

4 parties, 2 more before Christmas. A What's App group that goes off a thousand times a day. It's full on.

3 parties so far and another coming up. No play dates though.

Youngest is in reception. No party invites bit one did bring sweets for her birthday. Made sure he always takes a present in as everyone should have a present on their birthday.

My oldest is in year 2 and has been to one party that was postponed. They called it a welcome to year 2 party instead

I will say youngest has 8 in his class so not many invites.

2, but both previous friends from preschool like pp. Surely depends when the children they are friendly with have their birthdays...

We’ve got 2 parties coming up but nothing til now. My eldest had a lot more parties and play dates by now, I think people are still warming up post lockdowns

No play dates and 2 parties. My year one has had 2 play dates, 3 parties.
