Neighbours & bird feeders

I would love to hang a couple of bird feeders on our fence but DH thinks this will annoy the neighbours? We are not on speaking terms... I can't see it being an issue... So mumsnetters can you tell me if you have ever had issues with neighbours feeding the birds?

Great advice, much appreciated, I'll make a trip to the local DIY store tomorrow for supplies... We have two little bichon friese so they may keep the cats at bay🙏

I think if you are already not on speaking terms then freestanding is the way to go. If they particularly love birds there is still a chance to bond if it is free standing but less they can complain legitimately about.
