Favourite Cover?

I think this thread has been done before, but I’ve just discovered my favourite ever cover.

It’s James TW’s version of Torn, originally by Natalie Imbruglia.

I thought her original was ok, nothing to write home about, but I’ve had his on repeat for days now (it’s especially good if you’re listening on a device with good bass).

Afghan Whigs' cover of TLC's Creep. Greg Dulli does the best covers.

Also love The Futureheads cover of Hounds of Love. Oh and Nina Simone's version of Mr Bojangles.

The flying pickets cover of Only You. I play it just to torture myself!! It's amazing and very very sad.

I like Blacktop Mojo's cover of Dream on better than Aerosmiths version.

Mad World by Gary Jules Stairway to Heaven by Heart. (seriously- performed in front of LZ themselves and they were floored by it)

Hell yes to Heart - wasn't that a fantastic performance! Even the Obamas were rocking out to it! Ann and Nancy are probably the only people who should ever be allowed near Led Zep songs.

Mary Lambert's version of Teenage Dirtbag is beautiful, I desperately wanted it for my Dad's funeral but unfortunately it was never released so we used the original Wheatus version (he requested the song & it gave us all a much needed smile on the way in).

I prefer Placebo’s version of Running Up That Hill, even though I love Kate Bush. I think the song sounds better with a more gothic edge.
