Can’t sleep because

There’s a mouse hiding in the corner of my bedroom and it won’t leave. It’s so pathetic, I know. It’s tiny and harmless but I’m panicked about it coming into the bed when I’m asleep. Please knock some sense in to me and/or reassure me! I promise I’m generally a sensible person Confused

I'm awake because I have an irritated nerve in my back causing my whole left leg to hurt. Also I think I keep snoring, fun new thing to add to the list of shortcomings

@kissmelittleass

I'm awake because I've had a random achy stabbing pain coming and going on my left side to the side of my rib, fed up I had it a few weeks ago and saw doctor no explanation because it went away but tonight it's back and I can't sleep with it 😕
That couldn't possibly be linked to af could it? It's just I get random stabby pains with hormonal changes.

My son when he was 6 years old sneaked all his Easter eggs upstairs in the night and ate them all.
He had a studio bed with a deal underneath and managed to lean over the edge and throw up!
Much of the ensuing carnage was caught in the 2 drawers he had left open 😳😷😉

one Easter I bought lots of Easter eggs early as Tesco were doing a Buy One Get Three offer and as a childminder I needed loads of eggs for gifts. To hide them from grandchildren they were kept in bags for life at the bottom of my bed covered in a woven blanket.

My wife and I woke in the middle of the night to hear a rustling sound. Nice has decided our room was party central abd were feasting on said chocolate. 😳😲

It fell to me to grab the bags, run downstairs and hurl them into the garden. We decided we couldn't return to our room so moved into the middle room which had a futon.

I was settled in there, reading on my Kindle and sipping tea when through a tiny gap came another mouse! Yea and Kindle went one way, wife and I leapt up and ran downstairs!
We took turns sleeping on the sofa while one of us stayed awKe to repel the little buggers while researching mouse deterrents.

We bought a sonic deterrent that you plug into the electrical circuit which emits a frequency that mice don't like. In the hours before it arrived we found them everywhere. My wife opened a cupboard to see a tiny mouse say in a bag of pasta! 😱
We threw away so much food as we often bought flour, pasta rice etc in bulk.

It truly was a nightmare. Please think about buying a sonic deterrent, they are good.

I am awake as I have Covid for the second time.
I had it in March 2020, before tests, I worked with people from Wuhan. I have long covid with damage to my lungs, bladder and bowel. To say I am terrified is an understatement, though I am sure my double vaccine offers some protection. I was due ti have the booster next Friday! I am worried sick and also really sad as my daughter is hosting a birthday party for my youngest grandson later today, we don't see them that often.

To everyone who can't sleep particularly those who are sad and struggling, I send you love and blessings!

I've had a cold for 11 days and my throat is very sore, so when my painkillers "run out" in the night, I wake up. I'm also tasting blood now.

It's been a long night here. DD11 has the cough from hell and didn't settle till after 2. Toddler has just started sleeping in 'the big boy bed' and it's a bit hit and miss so far, in and out seeing to him all night. 4 month old has eczema that put him in hospital a couple of weeks back and he's still struggling to sleep for more than an hour or so at a time without going crazy trying to itch himself - that's with 2 kinds of cream and an infant antihistamine, bless him. He'll sleep okish if he's held but I also need to see to DD and toddler so not possible to hold him all night tonight.

I gave in trying to sleep at half five, went and made a coffee. The irony is everyone else is asleep now, and I'm sat here bleary eyed on MN while the dogs fart around in the pitch black garden.

to everyone on the thread who's struggling tonight.

@HerRoyalWitchyness I hope your DS is ok.

We finally got home at 5.45. DS had an asthma attack due to covid makingnit harder to breathe. Poor boy.
