Adult colouring books

Just wondering if anyone uses, or has in the past, used these as a means of dealing with stress or anxiety? I cannot focus properly on reading at the moment (usually my favourite way to relax) so wondered about trying a colouring book.

You could try painting by numbers, there are some lovely pictures and it's very therapeutic

I use a colour by numbers app on my phone called Happy Colour. I find it so relaxing while I'm watching tv or listening to a podcast, and it's been the app I've used the most consistently for the last 5 years. I use a stylus.

I like the Happy Colour app too. It's free, a new picture each day and bonus pictures a few times each week.

It's one of the very few apps I paid a couple of quid to get rid of ads, but it's so worth it. I wiped it once on purpose to start again 🤣

Get a good metal sharpener OP

@Seaswell That is really beautiful!

@TSSDNCOP I actually thought of that last night - I don't think my eyeliner pencil will quite do the trick!

Thanks to all for your suggestions on books and apps, I am going to look into them all. Thanks also to those who suggested printing a few pages from the internet first to see if I enjoy the colouring so I have just printed a couple of pages from a free site.

Here's hoping it helps!

Thanks for the Happy Colour app recommendation - it’s brilliant! I whiled away a good hour on the phone listening to MIL’s various health woes with it last night.
