Returning for the third year and back by popular demand - well, doyen of the WAG-world @AnneKipankitoo has been pestering me to start one.

Change your name to something Hallowe'eny and post, telling us what your previous name was if you like and especially if you've chosen a pun on your old name. Leave it at that if you prefer, or post whatever you like in the spirit of Hallowe'en fun and shenanigans.

No voting, no prizes, all welcome in all your gory glory.

It's time to swap our pearls for skulls and clutch them instead. Come and join us...if you dare.

Disappointing halloween here for us.

Littlest was so looking forward to being on trick or treat duty and had decorated a bowl, bought sweets and sorted an outfit.

Bloody positive PCR test yesterday so she can't answer the door to anyone!!

@KurtWildeWitchOfTheWoods I know it's so disappointing for her. And so annoying as she was due her vaccine on the 4th! I thought we might have managed to get through unscathed.

Any ideas for things I can do this evening to make it a bit more fun? Pumpkin is done and we have some halloween bunting up. Thinking spooky music? Nothing too energetic though as she is feeling a bit rubbish today. She is 12 and really doesn't like scary films!

We aren't going to answer the door @ArchwizardTVampirebat just in case. Me DH and older DD are waiting on our PCR tests, DH temperature high this morning so we aren't risking it.

She's made a lovely sign for the door though apologising for no sweeties. Can't even leave them outside as it's going to rain all night.

Hmm I was going to suggest Goosebumps series/film and some snacks, lights out and just candles and pumpkin, would that be too scary for her though? My youngest DD is 11 and loves a bit of Goosebumps, it's not really scary just a right amount of creepy for kids.

Would she be up for some crafts? My lot are hit and miss with that kind of thing. They start off all gung ho and before you know it I'm sat on my own trying to make googly eyes stick to a plastic drinking cup covers in glitter 😂

Honest she is so soft! She says goosebumps is too scary.

She is so soft that the last halloween before the pandemic she dressed as an angel and refused to go trick or treating because the other outfits scared her 😂 that girl is 100% my daughter!

No, no, @TrickorSweets21 - it relates to a different time of year and name change thread when, draped in Lametta and having partaken of Brandy Butter heavy on the brandy, light on the butter @AnneKipankiWOO was known to get up to shenanigans on the coffee table, polishing as she goes and occasionally slipping and sliding off, with resultant injuries.

I rather suspect dunking her Haribos in gin is resulting in the same misbehaviour this Hallowe'en.

I'm so sorry your DD's plans for Halloween were scuppered. Poor thing..
.I'm in her camp, though about low tolerance for scary things....ever since my DF was trying to do a fun daddy/daughter activity with me when I was 6 years old...I chose to go to the cinema..
Only problem was that we only had one cinema in town. I don't think he even paid attention to the film title...he purchased tickets, we sat down, watched the cartoon, and then the film started....it wasn't the least bit scary until about 3/4 of the way through at which time, I was scarred for life the film was an Alfred Hitcock creation called "Psycho" with sweet Janet Lee and Antony Perkins. Almost 60 years later, and I'm still scarred😂
That window idea that @ArchwizardTVampirebat suggested sounds like a good one.
