What are you doing today?

One of the DC has a cold, headache, loss of taste etc so we are awaiting the results of a PCR test just to be safe. Pottering around the house feeling a bit bored. I hadn't really planned much anyway for this half term but I'm generally feeling as though I haven't got my mum holiday planning mojo back ever since Covid. Lots of friends going on holiday, short breaks, day trips. I haven't really planned anything for this half term. Although just as well I suppose given what we're doing today!

So we will be spending the morning playing board games - I've got an escape room game to finish that ended in doors being slammed last time. So that could go well.

So anyway, enough of my misery, what are you all planning to do today?

I have a day off today so been out shopping most of the day, got a few Xmas bits and had lunch out with the kids. Now home and doing some clean before I collapse on the sofa for the evening.

Had to go to post office this morning as selling clothes to generate Xmas funds. It was surprisingly unbusy. Got some bits in for ds packed lunch but resisted going for a coffee.
Gave th bathroom a cursory clean and a quick hoover round. Waiting for some deliveries but they haven't appeared yet. Currently making potato and leek soup and will have that with sausage and egg rolls for dinner.

Very boring day today.

Took mine to the shops (had an online shop at the weekend but I needed a few extra bits as we're all home this week). Decided to use the coin machine to change up all of our 5ps. There was almost £50 worth. Kids were in raptures using the machine and as well as paying for the shopping, they all got a treat each too.

Home for lunch and then it pissed down so plans for walk / big playground turned into wonder around the local community gardens - kids took some toy dinosaurs and played with them. We all got very muddy and were only out for an hour.

Dinner just about to be served (meatballs and pasta) and I'm going to finish the weekend wine I'm off of work this week

Tomorrow will be more fruitful.

Working.

I worked until 1.30pm, picked the dog up from my in-laws, came home, showered, cleaned the bathroom and ate lunch and now I'm messing about online and watching My 600lb Life.

@Shumoo play date success but I’m exhausted. So @Crunchymum I am also now finishing up the weekend wine.

Been at work today and had fish cake and potatoes for tea now I am going to get in bed and have a really early night.
