DH is going to France this week for work. Neither of us have left the country for two years and he wants to know what I would like him to bring back. Apart from cheese I can't think of anything! Help me Mners!

@NowTheDucksAreBarking

Fritelles gout bacon 🥓 I had such massive cravings for these when I was pregnant with my dd that I went on a day trip to get them. They are basically bacon chipsticks. Not the most sophisticated thing but you cannot get them here.
Oh God, yes. I adore these!

If you like puddings there's tins of Mont Blanc which comes in several flavours like pistachio, vanilla, etc. It's a bit like Angel Delight but better.

For sea-food lovers there's tins of scallops already made up into Coquille St Jacques with scallop shells attached with shrink wrap. Delicious.

Tinned duck confit - duck legs slow cooked in fat. Horrifically calorific but reheated in oven (out of the fat), serve with mashed potato and steamed green beans. Yum.

Merguez sausages, carambar sweets, tinned whole marrons, crème de marron (great substitute for flour for a gluten free chocolate cake) Tins of taboulet.

Lots of saucisson. I forget what it’s called, but the fruit syrup stuff that’s really concentrated but delicious as a cordial.

A non food item is a salt pig. I bought one in France years ago and I still use it every day. They are good gifts too.

I like the not very strong fruit liqueurs to have topped up with cheap sparkling wine as an aperitif. This type of thing: www.intermarche.com/produit/creme-de-mure/3104760003862 - they make great Christmas presents too.
