Do you know how wide your calves are?

Inspired by the thread on ring sizes, I started wondering about calve sizes (in relation to zip up boots)

I've lost a few stone this year, but my calves are still too wide for knee high boots in most stores.

I've measured my calf at the widest point, it's 42cm - just wondering how other people who are a size 12/14/16 (depending on the seemingly random sizing used in retail at the moment) measure up.

I found a note in my phone from last year when I was a size 20 and my calf was 43 cm, so I think I just have chunky lower legs

Also, any recommendations on where to buy wide fitting boots (my feet are only a 5 or 6) would be great!

36/37cm. Im a size 14, 5ft 7. Lower legs do look slim in comparison to the rest of me

37 calf. I'm 5'2 size 4 shoe. Clothes size 12-14.

I'm 37 cm...6 feet tall, size 14. I have 2 pairs of Duo boots from about 10 years ago which are still going strong.

Where do you stand on Fitflops? I have a fab pair from them which I got years ago but they are still making.
Have also had good ones from Clarks.
Losing weight won’t make much difference ime. It’s just a matter of finding a design with a wide panel of elastic or neoprene.

Mine are 30cm. I’m petite though.

Mine are 32cm and I have spent years and years trying to find the perfect knee high boots and failed. In every pair I look like a kid flapping about in their parents wellies!

Simply Be are great for wide legged jeans too.

Mine are 39 cm and I'm a size 12 with 5.5-6 feet. I pretty much gave up on knee boots a long time ago - my ankles are really thin and my calves look huge with the difference. Wish someone would declare curvy lower legs beautiful - if I had that much curve from waist to hip I'd be gorgeous :)
