Have only heard it once. I'm not over enamoured with it.

The song is zzz and her voice isn’t good, nails on a blackboard for me. She sings out of her nose.

Sloth66 · 15/10/2021 17:41

My favourite song of hers was the Chasing Pavements one, that was years ago.

Just listened to this one, not memorable .

Tal45 · 15/10/2021 17:47

The most amazing thing about her IMO is how she goes from talking in that awful, awful accent to singing like that. The bit at the beginning of the video where she's talking to someone on the phone sounded so fake and hideous.

MintyGreenDream · 15/10/2021 17:58

Droaning, maudling voice. All her songs.sound the same to me.

Milomonster · 15/10/2021 18:01

Bland.

supersop60 · 15/10/2021 18:28

Very average.

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 15/10/2021 18:48

I like it and I don't usually like her music. Only ones of hers I like are Hello, chasing pavements (the d and b remix) and the bond one. Her voice sounds different though

Banani · 15/10/2021 18:48

Dull and overrated, like most of her stuff. Really don’t get the appeal of Adele

Lunaballoon · 15/10/2021 18:51

Awful screechy noise. Had to mute when it came on TV.

LostpencilSOS · 15/10/2021 18:53

I actually cringed when I heard it this morning in the car, on the way to the hairdressers.

I usually like her songs but way to making money from her divorce Hmm

I can't imagine her ex husband being too comfortable with it either.

IpanemaPeaHen · 15/10/2021 18:56

It’s okay. I like her and thought rolling in the deep was a great track.

Generally I prefer up beat dance music or songs like the new one from Dua and Elton.

QueefofSheena · 15/10/2021 18:57

It’s got mainstream appeal and a formula that sells in huge numbers, a bit like Coldplay but it’s not for me. The Dylan cover she did makes me clench too.

winterescape · 15/10/2021 19:42

I really like it. I’ve not been keen on previous stuff bar one or two songs but I really like this one.

lifehappened · 15/10/2021 19:43

@ANameChangeAgain

All of Adele's are growers I think.
A million percent this
Stickyblue1987 · 15/10/2021 19:45

I love it. The video is rubbish though.

DotBall · 15/10/2021 19:47

Can’t stand her voice, a faggy honker.
However, her songs tend to be well-crafted with good range and are often technically challenging.

Catlover77 · 15/10/2021 19:57

Whiny, warbling, screechy, boring. I had to turn it off

RichardMarxisinnocent · 15/10/2021 20:15

I couldn't make out what most of the words being sung were, they seemed as if they were being mumbled. I heard it straight after another couple of ballad type songs (on Smooth radio) which I had heard and understood all the words to. After the first few lines of the Adele song I was a bit confused about why I couldn't properly hear each word so I concentrated really hard on listening and could still only make out some words. I probably need to try listening again.

Lol the last thing Adele needs is to make money, she’s worth about 200 million 😂

She’s a singer song writer, many of them writ about personal experience and divorce is something she went through.

Tana433 · 15/10/2021 20:18

I love it but then i love everything she does so it would need to be terrible to make me dislike it and i dont think that is going to happen judging by the last three amazing albums.

Bluntness100 · 15/10/2021 20:23

Actually if you sit and listen to it, ignore the video, it’s just a sad song about a divorce, you can feel the sadness in it.

Dogknowsbest · 15/10/2021 20:25

I love her earlier stuff. Not sure about this one at all. Her voice has changed and all her stuff now sounds like she's suffering from a mental breakdown.

Bluntness100 · 15/10/2021 20:34

It’s obviously a very personal song though, to be fair she’s right she was just a child and didn’t have time to chose what she chose to do, to understand rhe world around her, she was 21 when she recorded her first album.

And I think many folks can resonate with some of the words, about having good intentions, high hopes. About putting her child and and her ex first, about not recognising herself, about giving up, about dealing with the silence in a marriage, about being who you are due to many things, although very few have been world famous at 21.

peruse · 15/10/2021 20:36

I really like it, I feel like it’s the first song I’ve truly resonated with in years.

wetpants · 15/10/2021 20:37

I’ve liked Adele’s previous stuff but this new single is hideous. I can’t bear the screechy yodelling at all, is it the range or how come her higher notes now hurt my ears?

I had to turn the radio 2 off when they played the song the second time today (5 mins after it was played the first time Hmm), I just couldn’t listen to it again, thats how much it grated on already.

I guess I can’t listen to the radio at all for next few weeks Sad
