What is your favourite winter comfort food?

As the nights draw in... It's the season for warm, comforting food..
Tonight I've made a lovely plate of pasta with Bolognese and cheese on top.. So yummy.
What's your favourite?

Sausage, mash and gravy. I’m the only one that likes mash, so if there’s an opportunity to eat it out, or on my own, that’s my choice.

Mac n cheese with various combinations or a slow cooked chilli served with nachos, homemade guacamole, soured cream, cheese and jalapenos.

Tartiflette. But not yet, it needs to get colder for tartiflette.

Slow cooked beef stew with homemade dumplings

Yep, pretty much all of the above. I LOVE Autumn and Winter.

Cant decide between tattie ash, shepherds pie and beef casserole. Pudding is always apple crumble with custard

Roast with gravy and Yorkshires

Chicken fajita pasta cooked in the slow cooker with lots of cheese or cheesy beans sausage casserole with mash, I love winter foods 😍

Ham, leftovers from a slow cooked hock. In beans with herbs. Crusty bread.
Ham hock is from a butcher, two for £6.50. It needs much soaking to reduce the salt. We get 6 helpings from each.
The first meal is great with roast veg.
It is a Floyd on France recipe. So tasty

Toad in the hole

Beef stew and dumplings, but all I've craved today is a massive lasagne. So that's on the menu for tomorrow!

Lobsgows. Nothing beats it.

Pan haggerty. Just had it tonight. So tasty.

Pie or sausage & mash with loads of thick gravy mopped up with bread
Thick soup with nice crusty bread
