Has anyone managed to get through on the phone ?
It’s either engaged, or you get a message which then cuts you off.

Update on DS's provisional - we received form number 2 in the post on Monday, so fairly soon after he re-applied. Couldn't find any passport photos so we were going to go into town on Saturday. I've come home from work today to find he has received a provisional license in today's post. I can only assume they have finally processed the first form we sent?!! πŸ€”

Has anyone been able to contact DVLA? I've tried phoning but they are not answering and I've also tried the online tracker but it says the reference needs to be numerical even though I'm putting in the reference that they sent me which is letters.

I applied for DD months ago but had to send more info. Then DD took the letter asking for information and did nothing with it. Apparently after 40 days it's too late so you need to apply again. I did that online a month ago and the application went through without the need for more information.

I just want to know that the application is being processed and some idea of when it will arrive.

@Shitfuckcommaetc

All this, and yet so many on mumsnet are "more productive" working from home.

Wonder how many on here preaching that work for the DVLA

To date, I have been royally screwed over at least 8 times having dealt with WFH. They either tell you they are WFH of a recoded message informs you that you may hear domestic noise, etc, etc.

One was EON, cost me a good deal of money being overcharged when the WFH assistant had apparently sorted the issue. There was no proof of our call even though I had his name and the date/time it took place.

Another was Santander, I made a change of address, was reassured on many points, also took name and date of call. This didnt stop them sending my new card to my old address and causing severe havoc to rectify. Not what I would call good security from a bank.

I generally don't trust any serious issue with a person WFH now, sadly. And I WFH myself (but alway have).
