Seems very warm for October

I am sure I usually would have the heating on by now but I don't. It still seems quite comfortable. Is this the case or am I being influenced by the reports of higher fuel costs and not turning the heating on when I usually would have by now?

It does seem to be warm doesn't it.
Still cold in the morning and evening though.

I remember Halloween 4 or 5 years ago being 21 degrees, we were wearing shorts and T-shirts.

It’s my birthday at the start of October. When I was a child it wasn’t a warm time of year from memory. Since about 2009 it has started being the Indian Summer season. I remember being amazed I had lunch outside in the sun without a coat on my birthday. I also remember being on a beach in hot sun in 2011!

Early October was back to Uni for me in the late 70's / early '80. I was always surprised by the warm, sunny days
