Help! Last minute city break ideas needed

Have left it very, very last minute due to COVID.

I need to book something as time is running out.

Ideas please for a city break location for DH’s big birthday.

We have absolutely loved Rome, Amsterdam and Berlin.

So where now? Barcelona or somewhere else in Italy?

He wants to go to New York but that’s not allowed yet…

Any ideas, please? I feel as if nothing can compete with Rome and so feel a bit stumped and DH isn’t great at making travel decisions!

Venice is beautiful! Milan is also lovely.

Venice ! We're going at half term. No need to quarantine on arrival if you're double vaccinated and kids don't have to quarantine if accompanied by vaccinated parents.

However you will need a Green Pass to get into any indoor attractions and restaurants.

Florence is fabulous
And Lisbon is great

We adored Vienna - lots of delicious hot chocolate in cafes, brilliant art and great architecture

Bruges is fun if you don't want to go too far

I did Venice with my daughter and I think I had a nicer time with her that I would have with anyone else! BA often has great deals on hotels there that you can bundle with flights if they are still doing their holidays

Seville and/or Cadiz

Thanks so much everyone. I think we’re erring towards Venice!

I love the idea of Florence and Lisbon too.

Any quick advice on getting the Green Pass as non eu residents?

Ha yes I read that Airbnb thread but dh def wants a plush hotel!

Italy accept the NHS Covid pass as equivalent to Green Pass. So you just need the QR code on the app.

@massistar thanks for that information
