Claudia Winkleman’s Fringe!

Anyone else really annoyed by it?! I don’t know how she sees properly & it must be irritating.

OP posts:
PurplePansy05 · 02/10/2021 21:19

I like her, she's ok as a presenter and seems warm. I think the fact she has her own style is positive too. I like most of her clothes and shoes. However, personally I think her choice of hairstyle, nails, tan and make up is awful and I agree with you, OP. I really think it does her no favours at all and she'd look so much better if she chose a simpler look - less tan, less eyeliner, shorter fringe. She doesn't need all this. Make up that suits her skin tone and none of the awful white nail polish, it doesn't suit anyone, ever. Small and simple tweaks, that's all.

TroysMammy · 02/10/2021 21:22

I'm also annoyed by her fringe. I have a friend whose fringe is over her eyes and that irritates me too. How can they see properly?

Knittedfairies · 02/10/2021 21:22

I have nothing to say about her fringe other than she looks very like her mum without it.

She’s about 100 years younger there Lotus! Grin

I think you can see in the no fringe pics in the first link posted why she has it and good for her! Wish I could rock a fringe like that, not many can.

Pinkginlover · 02/10/2021 21:39

A fringe like that would annoy me, but it obviously doesn’t bother her or impair her vision.
My (Scottish) granny would say “she’s like a coo peeking through a thicket”

Lolamambam · 02/10/2021 21:42

Yes. The most annoying thing on tv.

Just a thought. I always wonder whether having such a distinctive on-screen look means she can look really different in real life ( fringe swept back and less makeup?) to maintain some privacy.

PeriChristmas · 02/10/2021 21:45

I love her fringe!

myadhdusername · 02/10/2021 21:47

That’s funny @Lolamambam but I almost feel they could have made more of the fringe! The nodding though Grin

Stillfunny · 02/10/2021 23:43

That distinctive look is definitely her trademark . It makes her , her personality and presenting style unique. Probably gets her considered for jobs and adverts before others. And is a nice contrast to the bland blonde one.

KloppsTeeth · 03/10/2021 00:28

I am envious of her fringe and her glorious thick hair. She’s a really intelligent woman and I have a lot of respect for her.

I can’t have a fringe because I have fine hair and at times a sweaty forehead so any fringe just ends up damp, then it curls and I look stupid so I really envy her.

Footprintsonthemoon1 · 03/10/2021 07:19

Wow she looks amazing without the fringe and makeup! So much better
Lanique · 03/10/2021 07:31

I'm all for personal style and I like the way she has one however I wish she would just give that fringe a trim so it isn't falling into her eyes so much. I find it hard to watch her because of it.

I can see she's an attractive woman, although I find it hard to imagine what she looks like behind the hair and make up.

She has fabulous hair especially for her age and I would do anything for such thickness and shine. I'd love to know what her secret is (I suspect good genes and possibly even some light thickening extensions, and certainly nothing to do with Head and Shoulders!)

Lanique · 03/10/2021 07:34

Ah I can see her sister Sophie (Big Suze) in that photo when she was younger and with the fringe swept aside (I only just recently learned they were half sisters and I really couldn't see any similarity!) Both stunning women.

Werehamster · 03/10/2021 07:36

I also find her fringe and make-up annoying. I know I shouldn't but I just do. I was so glad when she left Sewing Bee.

She is really beautiful without it all. I don't understand why she does it.

My DS also drives me crazy when he lets his hair grow too long.

WeAreTheHeroes · 03/10/2021 07:37

She has fabulous hair especially for her age Wtf? She's 49!

Lanique · 03/10/2021 07:44

Yes so what? Most 49 year olds I know have thinner and much less lustrous hair that CW's. It's to do with hormones and it's a completely natural process. I'm not being ageist FFS.

Lanique · 03/10/2021 07:45

And by the way I'm a couple of years younger than her and since 40 my hair has become about a tenth of the thickness of hers.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 03/10/2021 07:47

i dont believe she has eye issues, and if she did the fringe would make it worse surely?

Claudiawinklemansfringe · 03/10/2021 07:48

waves hello Grin

brokenbiscuitsx · 03/10/2021 07:50

@LemonJuiceFromConcentrate

But but but, you can totally see her eyes and they’re fine.

It’s long but it’s not covering her eyes Confused

I know! It’s like a Catch22, maybe the fringe is causing the squint and the squint is causing the fringe 😂
AquarianGirl · 28/11/2025 20:04

Yes. She has fake humility when her whole look is contrived. She has had mega plastic surgery (see before and after photos) and is the definition of fake. She sleeps in her gross orange make up and shovels eye liner on in spades. Unfortunately this is the look TV producers want. Unfortunately because it propultes more and more surgery and gimmicks. What are young hopeful female aspiring TV producers to do but go one step beyond? Not all of them will have rich media luvvie parents to help them either.

AquarianGirl · 28/11/2025 20:08

rocksteadyfreddy · 02/10/2021 19:59
@rocksteadyfreddy op said she was annoyed by it, and I explained why she had it.

Whats your problem with my explanation?
You didn't explain why she had it, you said "apparently".

My problem is with your "explanation" that it's completely irrelevant and also a bit nasty.

Therefore, so what if she has?

Much ado about nothing. Honestly so unnecessary.
