What nail varnish was trendy in the 80s??

Off to fancy dress party tomorrow as a generic 80s pop star modelled on Madonna lots of lace / denim and big silver jewellery.

What nail varnish would finish it off - I'm thinking maybe dark purple / dark red or maybe a bright red??

Rimmel do a nail colour now called Hot Metal Love which has a nice shimmer.
