My DS is adamant that bird is the word.

I disagree and am certain that it is, in fact, Grease that’s the word.

Who is right?

Or perhaps we’re both wrong and something else is the word?

Grease is definitely the word, there's no other words except grease

My house at school was Baird. Before sports day one year our head of house played us Bird is the Word and tried to convince us it was Baird is the Word to gee us up. It was unconvincing.

@MrsRobbieHart, you need to point out that no matter what his point of view, Grease was (and therefore still is) the original word - all others are a 'cover version'.

OP, I'm sorry you found out this way that the bird is THE word. Grease is more like the time, the place, the motion, the way we are feeling, etc. Big difference.
