Is there something going on? So much traffic, so many people etc etc never seen it this busy..what's going on? Do people just want to get out of the house because their kids are at school? What about those who are working? It's proper busy...

Because we've spent ages locked away like bloody sardines.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 21/09/2021 14:28

It's a full moon there preparing to cause mayhem for my night shift later 🤣🤣

waybill · 21/09/2021 14:29

Quiet as the grave here.

vodkaredbullgirl · 21/09/2021 14:33

Well with 3 major roads with roadworks and road closure, yep loads of people out.

Hen2018 · 21/09/2021 14:36
  1. get it logged with the police
  2. they’re probably on the spectrum
  3. get them sectioned
Aroundtheworldin80moves · 21/09/2021 14:38

I'm presuming the noise outside is the college kids on their way home. They will soon be followed by the Secondary, then the Primary kids...

PattyPan · 21/09/2021 14:49

I am indoors working this week but was on holiday in the U.K. the week before last because I don’t have children so can go during termtime while the weather is still good.

amillionrosepetals · 21/09/2021 14:49

Just looked out of the window. Not a soul to be seen. Maybe my neighbours have all gone on a day trip to where you are.

Gingerkittykat · 21/09/2021 14:50

They are all out to deliberately spread covid to other people.

(I thought the how dare people go outside threads had died out now)

Mariell · 21/09/2021 14:53

Hardly anyone here in Wales! My view for a few hours half hour ago!

Why are so many people outside?
ForTheLoveOfSleep · 21/09/2021 14:55

@HoldingTheDoor

It's probably just the Zombie Apocalypse.
Awesome. I've had a plan ready for years. Grin
icedcoffees · 21/09/2021 14:57

I work outside - is that a good enough reason for you?

Quirrelsotherface · 21/09/2021 15:06

It's my day off on a Wednesday and I always wonder why everywhere is so busy. When I was on mat leave I would love going into town as it was so quiet but now the world and his wife is out and about alllll day! Does nobody work? Heck maybe they think the same about me!

Wobblywibblywoo · 21/09/2021 15:13

I agree, it’s really busy in comparison to normal weekdays, but I think in my area It’s people coming to our county to holiday since the kids have gone back to school, mostly the older generations now towards the end of September it will die down again, do you live in a tourist area?

BoredZelda · 21/09/2021 15:15

Because we've spent ages locked away like bloody sardines.

Oh come on, it's been months since this was actually the case.

HemanOrSheRa · 21/09/2021 15:17

But are you outside too Confused? If so, why?

Blossomtoes · 21/09/2021 15:19

It’s a beautiful warm day and we won’t be getting many more of them.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 21/09/2021 17:04

Because it’s a warm, sunny day? Around here, anyway - and very likely there won’t be many more before next summer.

WarOfAttrition · 21/09/2021 17:16

I agree Op. I’m in the NW and whenever I’m driving (to the shop or whatever) the local roads are packed - more so than before CV.

Bobsyer · 21/09/2021 17:47

My neighbour was painting his house. Does that help?

Mochudubh · 21/09/2021 17:48

Are you near a uni/college?

Students seem to have sprung out of nowhere this week (Fresher's)? They're all over the place, walking in the road and everything. Driving to Lidl at lunchtime was like Death Race 2000 at 30 mph.

lifehappened · 21/09/2021 18:42

Wow, weird

faithfulbird20 · 28/09/2021 07:58

Petrol and sun.

In my area many more are out walking because they don’t have fuel - or are conserving the £20 they were allowed to get when some came in. It’s pretty noticeable at school run time!

SeasonFinale · 28/09/2021 08:22

Lots of people are back at work hence they are travelling to work
