Has anyone tried this? Had a 60% off deal through the door and decided to give it a go out of curiosity. I can honestly say I am really impressed. I am quite a keen cook and didn't think that Hello Fresh would have any recipe ideas I hadn't done before. However, the recipes and food were lovely and ingredients great quality. I think if you pay full price though, it is probably more expensive than I am willing to pay. I have got 35% off for 3 weeks, so I am planning to order some more boxes. When it goes to full price, I will cancel. I have kept all of the recipes from my box to make myself but much more cheaply!

Ocado do pasta evangelist and you can buy seperate bits too. Currently have a freezer full of beef shin ragu after it was on offer the other week. The stuff is amazing.

Might look into some of these others mentioned.

I have recently done the same thing and used the discount codes to try these out. I have always mainly main cooked meals, but really wanted some different ideas.
I tried Hello Fresh and Gousto. Much prefer Gousto over Hello Fresh.

Going to use Gousto once a month, that's enough for me.

We were the same as you in that we found ourselves repeating the same old meals week in week out. Gousto has been great for getting us to try new exciting recipes. We now have quite a collection of recipe cards so often recreate the menus ourselves.

I had a free first box - postage paid only. It was good , not great but can see how it would be popular ?
I forgot to cancel and now have another box - it's ok , as has saved me a bit of a food shop but one of the sheets is missing - if any one has Fragrant Chicken Laksa"

How do either of these compare to Mindful Chef, anyone know? Or the new one Green Chef, that does low carb stuff - but very very heavy on the promoted advertising/reviews so that I don't trust anything I read about it.

Although Hello Fresh and Gousto seem expensive, I am finding that because I do less shopping, my overall weekly expenditure on food has dropped. I think that this is because I am in the shops less, I succumb to less temptations. Also, another thing I like about Hello Fresh and Gousto is that we have no food waste at all. We literally eat everything they send!

I'm abroad and have been doing Hello Fresh for the last month after a friend sent me a voucher. I have been really impressed. I haven't found stuff going off and usually there is enough veg to go into at least one more meal. Like PP says - I haven't been shopping nearly so much so just ended up doing a delivery shop for toiletries, loo roll etc. Definitely eating more veg and salad. Here we can get milk, eggs, yoghurts, fruit and all manner of other stuff in the delivery too. Don't know if its the same in UK.

I wasn’t that keen and cancelled after about a month. A lot of the time the veg was mouldy.

I'm 3 (discounted) boxes in and while I've enjoyed the food, 2 of the 3 boxes had an item missing. It was no real disaster as one was an extra (focaccia) and the other was a recipe card but it seemed a poor hit rate! We've enjoyed the food but will only order with a discount as it's not really worth it to us.
