Stupidly put wrong postcode

Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience of putting the wrong postcode on a parcel? I ordered something quite expensive online this afternoon but have accidentally got the postcode wrong (accidentally typed T instead of R). It’s only the last letter that is wrong not the whole thing. The rest of the address is right too. I’ve put a postcode that is just a few streets away from my own. Do you think my item will still get here? I tried to contact the company but it’s already been posted. I’m a bit worried now. Thanks everyone.

It should be delivered still. I was ordering something for my Nanna once and put her address with my postcode - typed it in on autopilot mode! It still arrived at her house fine, don’t think it took any longer than normal. It was delivered with Royal Mail.

@BarbaraofSeville that sounds terrible. I really hope that doesn’t happen. Unfortunately I’ll be at work so I won’t be able to catch them. I’ve just tried to call our sorting office for advice but the wait time to speak to someone is 20 minutes. I’m sure it’ll go to the right sorting office because it’s only a small town. I hope you’re right and that our postman will spot the mistake. As you say, it probably is quite common. We’ve lived here for 6 years so they’ll have delivered loads of letters and parcels with our name on to this address.
