How much maternity clothing did you get and when?

I'm 12 weeks but there is a definite bump! I'm looking at maternity clothes on boohoo but it feels frivolous to spend money on clothes you will only wear for six months. However I don't think I will be able to get in my jeans much longer!

This was pretty useful:

Couple of pairs of jeans and work trousers, and then I bought a load of tops on ebay and in the sales. I was lucky that my bump started showing around January so lots of sales on. The clothes hardly get worn so are usually in good condition second hand

I don’t understand the logic in buying sizes that are too big/men’s clothes but classing maternity wear as frivolous? Surely any of these options are a waste? You can buy fab maternity/nursing tops now that will take you through the pregnancy and beyond!

Uft I hate the whole maternity outfit thing.
You don't want to spend money on clothes you wear for a short time but you also don't want to just live in the same 3 tops and 2 pairs of leggings for 9+ months.

I hated my maternity clothes first time around and I bought a few extra pieces this time but even now at 7 months I've just bought a few more pieces because my wardrobe is so miserable.

I will sell on eBay afterwards.
I guess looking on eBay for maternity bundles is good too.
