Did your baby’s eczema put you off wanting to have another baby out of fear they may also suffer with eczema?

Not really answering your question, but I have always had horrible eczema but both my siblings have beautiful skin. And despite the eczema , I have never not wanted to be here.
It’s not a pleasant condition, but I am able to keep it under control these days. I hope you and your child can too.

Of course not. I have excema too, it's not that big a deal

Things got a lot better for DS when we saw a dermatologist (privately as the NHS was useless)

No. I have eczema but my younger sister doesn't.
My pfb has it, and then DD who is my third child of 5.
The other three never had it.

My eldest (6) has eczema but my toddler doesn't, so don't let it put you off. Also, if any treatments aren't working then please go back to a GP as you may have to try a few things first.

No. All 3 of mine have it but youngest didn't until around 5 or 6 and eldest, who probably had it worst from a few months old, has now completely outgrown.

I also developed it late in life and what works for one of us doesn't for another. As PP said, do keep trying to find what's best for your little one. It's not nice but can be managed.

I prayed my eldest wouldn't have eczema as I had a awful time growing up with it/teased a little but she does. Its not as bad as mines was (mines started to go when I moved out at 20)

We went through periods of really bad skin with her & searched high and low/paid a lot of money testing lots out until we found the perfect cream & sun cream (not prescribed)

Youngest has a little bit of eczema but we used what we bought for eldest and it disappeared.
Even if my eldest had it to the extent I did, It wouldn't have put me off of having another.

I don't have a baby with eczema but I developed eczema as an adult. There's no guarantee that anyone will or won't get it. I wouldn't factor it into a decision.
