Which one of these two would you choose as an every day set, please may I ask? It would be the 16 piece set...

This thread makes me miss The Pier - my favourite crockery has colour and patterns!!! I have 3 bowls and 4 side plates!!! None of my crockery matches - all sorts of colours and designs!!!
(I suspect my children will rebel and be super excited about a nice plain denby set when the time comes!!)

I prefer Linen. It's classic and won't go out of fashion

rosegoldwatcher · 10/09/2021 21:55

I've mentioned this on other threads - Tesco Clubcard vouchers can be converted to money off Denby items, from the Denby website, including the seconds.
£1 in vouchers converts to £3 off Denby.

I like both, but the Canvas just edges it

FindingMeno · 10/09/2021 22:03

Linen.
I'm not keen on the fine line on the canvas - to me it looks old fashioned.

@MrsH201 I have the linen - where is it discounted please? I need to replace a few bits Smile

CaptainMyCaptain · 10/09/2021 22:13

I have linen. Most of it was wedding presents 15 years ago and it's still going strong.

I'm perplexed by the people who are saying that Denby isn't hard wearing. It's stoneware so any scratches should be superficial. Most likely cutlery marks. They should rub off with a baking soda paste or one if those magic eraser things.
Ours is 14 years old and still as good as new whereas I've had loads of bits & bobs from Asda, Sainsbury's, IKEA etc which have been and gone.

SunSeaSurfGin · 10/09/2021 22:54

I think we have had the Linen set for over 20 years apart from the odd replacement side plate it's still going strong

Nannyamc · 10/09/2021 22:54

I have linen. Bought 17 years ago. Got 1000 in vouchers for 25th anniversary present.
Still going strong. Have had to replace a few items along the line. They were always in stock.

RuthTopp · 10/09/2021 22:59

We have the Linen , and so far 8+ years , it's been bombproof.

Campervan69 · 10/09/2021 23:18

We had blue linen for our wedding gift over 20 years ago. Still going strong. Sadly discontinued so good job we don't need any replacements.

There is an OUTLET section on the Denby website where individual items are discounted by 30%. So, Linen dinner plates are £11.20 each instead of £16.
They will be seconds but you really can't tell.
