Had a chilled out Sunday. Wine may have been involved! I have just put a sticky chicken & plum tray bake in the oven & it’s smelling amazing. An Asda recipe & so easy to make. Did a top up shop at Asda this morning; I have been in there 3 times this week. Obviously need to get more organised! DH went to watch The Tour Of Britain cyclists riding through our town. I was watching on tv as I didn’t have as much interest but the ads came on at the point where they were passing just down the road from us! Typical! Looking forward to catching up on programmes later, including last night’s Casualty, and watching SAS Who Dares Wins ( Celebrity). Enjoyed the first episode last week & some of the course trainers are pretty hot!

Everyone is fed and watered, uniform is all laid out for tomorrow. Packed lunch and snacks all sorted

Show off. I don't want to do uniforms and lunches.

Today (Sunday 5th) was my sons 6th birthday, we had a lovely day celebrating, nothing special really, cards and presents this morning, takeaway for dinner, then his cake earlier this evening.

He's now in bed, his 1st day in year 1 is tomorrow as well. I can't believe how quick the year has gone, only feels like his 1st day in reception was yesterday.

Now my husband and I are doing the bare minimum we need to do for tonight and 1st thing in the morning, then will definitely be time to sit down, relax and enjoy a drink.

We’ve had a lazy day, my husband was at mighty hoopla yesterday so he is somewhat ‘unwell’.

We’ve had a nice dog walk, played with some lego, got all the school bits ready for tomorrow and watched the little mermaid. Now my son is bed, husband is in bed and I’m laying on the sofa with the cat and dog.

My youngest is starting U6 th tomorrow - my last ever start to the school year! Can’t work out whether to be elated or sad. We had roast beef a bit earlier - DH tried a different cut and a different butcher and it was delicious!

Dd just came down from straightening her hair to wheedle a glass of wine out of me (for any pearl clutchers she is 18 in 2 weeks and it is a weekend only arrangement). I love hearing of those sorting out PE bags and packed lunches as I have DEFINITELY done my time on those slopes. Hang in there!!

Seriously? Not one of you were watching England thrash Andorra 4:0?! Highlight of my day! And so nice for Saka to score a goal at Wembley on his 20th birthday, after all the abuse over his missed penalty in the Euros final.
