Beyoncé on BBC

Is anyone watching her on BBC Two? I feel so nostalgic seeing her performances from the early 2000s- I went to see her on top of the pops! Does anyone else feel old now?

I caught some of it and really enjoyed it :))

@TheCanyon

Funny the first but live at the beeb was just her grunting/shouting and shaking her arse, this Glasto shows much better. The old totp footage was brilliant, clothes on and much lighter skinned too, sad. But nae wonder her fannies on fire, stop twerking hen, friction burn Grin
Pardon?

If you can find any footage online, her a Capella version of love on top gives me goosebumps

@Keroppi no worries, it is really sad how much the world has changed in 20 years.

TheCanyon · 04/09/2021 22:49

@toooothacheee what's the problem?

What is being lighter skinned to do with anything?

KineticSand · 04/09/2021 22:59

I think @TheCanyon might have meant that earlier in her career, Beyoncé looked like she was using make up or whatever to make her skin seem lighter. Which is sad. But later on she looks darker which is probably more her natural skin tone. And TheCanyon is saying it's better when she's looking natural.

toooothacheee · 04/09/2021 23:00

I see. That wasn't very clear.

TheCanyon · 04/09/2021 23:05

@toooothacheee kinetic is absolutely right, that's exactly what I meant. When you see the footage of her 20 years ago versus today her skin tones so different, it's so sad to see.

I've seen her live 3 times.. she's an incredible performer. I've even converted music snob DH after I dragged him to one of the concerts!

Her voice live is just amazing. Even if you don’t like her you can’t deny how good she is
Locationlocationfan · 04/09/2021 23:16

We have just watched the Glastonbury set which was amazing. And all the more so as she must have even early pregnant during this as her daughter was born 6 months later.

KineticSand · 04/09/2021 23:32

What!? That show was an incredible feat of stamina and she was 3 months preg at the time?? Superhuman.

Locationlocationfan · 04/09/2021 23:35

@KineticSand yes indeed, I was astonished when I realised. And all wearing at least 4 inch heels!

Lightsabre · 04/09/2021 23:38

I'm not a Beyoncé fan really but was mesmerised by the Glastonbury set. She was an amazing performer- strong, energetic and a figure to die for, much better than all the too skinny role models we used to see. Also liked the all female musicians of all shapes, sizes and looks, natural hair etc. Fantastic all round.

saladcreamandegg · 04/09/2021 23:40

@Lightsabre that's what DH said, the music isn't his cup of tea but you can't deny that she's an incredible performer, mesmerising. I'm in awe every time I see her perform!

Haggisfish3 · 05/09/2021 00:02

I LOVED the glasto set for all the reasons listed already. Apparently she had really bad morning sickness too. Incredible.

MaxiPaddy · 05/09/2021 06:49

Can't stand her.

She's a notorious song thief and credit hog.

I was at the Glastonbury set. She blew her husband out of the water, I was there for that too. We were gobsmacked, so many hits that we didnt realise. Up with David Bowie for my two favourite Glasto sets. God only knows when I’ll get back there again.

sandgrown · 05/09/2021 06:58

I think she is an incredible performer and so beautiful. I used to joke with DP she was my alter ego as I wanted to look like her and be so agile in high heels!
