Does anyone remember my thread about reporting my neighbour to the police for suspected child abuse?

Original thread is here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4189841-To-have-reported-my-next-door-neighbour-to-the-police

Well, obviously I don’t know whether the police/SS went round there or what, if anything was said, but the bloke has gone. I don’t know where or when, but he’s definitely not there any more, and she is a completely different person. Whereas before she always kept herself to herself and seemed really shy, she now openly says hello to the neighbours, stops to have a chat, etc.

I hope that if the police did pay a visit it made her think and that’ she’s chucked him out.

Obviously I’ll never know, but I’m glad he’s gone.

Yes, I remember. Glad that something for the good has happened.

I remember op, glad to read your update and also that you spoke up and reported.

OP - Somebody resurrected your original thread today, resulting in lots more people posting and wondering what had happened in the end. Today was the first time I saw the original thread so I had a search and found this one - have just given the link to this on the other.

I'm so glad the neighbour has her life back and that could all be down to you so Flowers for your action, whether it was the catalyst for that or not!

Thank God for people like you, it takes courage to do that even when you know its the right thing to do

That child could grow up to be very grateful that you did what you did.
As opposed to not growing up, if you hadn't.
You made a good call.
Thank you.

I imagine the poster that resurrected the zombie thread read this one (which was posted before the poster resurrected the other), clicked on the link the OP has added to this post and added a comment

You did a good thing op.

You did a good thing. Thanks for the update.

@ DaphneDeloresMoorhead

The first two posts on the resurrected bit of the original had been deleted by MN and there followed another twenty posts or so by people not realising it was a zombie (including two by yourself). I posted the link to the new thread to direct other interested posters to the update. MN have now locked the original.
