Hello. So I have a kfc interview tomorrow. I am bricking it. Think same interview as last time and got rejected as needing more experience- my last job was in fast food. Worried I will be rejected again. Go nice on me please.

Still no update. Should I phone them. Had an absolutely awful nightmare and felt overwhelmed and I'm feeling so depressed today. My work coach is really lovely, but I have to go to the job centre later and then I have to go again tomorrow. I've got no money. And I'm just feeling so depressed. I just want a flippin job.

Last night I applied for quite a few jobs, and there is a cafe where I can hand my CV in. I keep going on even though I'm feeling awful.

Hoping no news is good news for the KFC job OP. If it was a definite no, surely you would have heard by now? Are they taking up references before making an offer perhaps?

You're doing so well to keep applying and keep positive. It will happen, the more you apply for the better your odds of achieving your aim.

Sending positive vibes...

I saw your recent thread on AIBU, and I'm glad you're applying for other jobs too - it's good progress.

Remember that KFC & McDonald's aren't the only suitable employers - if you don't get a job there you will get one somewhere else.

Posters made some useful suggestions around brushing up on your wider skillset such as excel, and getting your CV reviewed. Do try some of these things.

Then when you get a job (and you will), start the driving lessons you mentioned to give yourself some freedom.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get this job, but if you don't then don't worry and - there'll be another one out there. Please don't keep repeatedly applying and making yourself feel terrible, you deserve to be happy.

Hoping you are right. Last time I got rejected same day I think within an hour. I've given them a call and they are going to get back to me hopefully.

It sounds like you’re doing everything you can - when I’m job seeking I always go for as much as I can and try to push it out of my mind once I’ve had an interview rather than dwelling on it.

Hope you’re okay in yourself. If you’re very anxious or feeling really down that will be having affecting you too.

Thank you, I am. At the moment I'm alright with my anxiety and depression.
