Oodie or??

So the summer is ending and I’m dreading the long, cold winter ahead. I have fibromyalgia and the cold makes it feel so much worse. I’m seriously considering one of these as a style free comfy option. (I don’t work so no one will see!!) They are really expensive though. Worth it? Or are cheaper options just as good?
Thanks.

I bought the Lushforest Hoodie Sweatshirt. It's very thick, cuddly, lightweight but very warm. Keeps my neck and shoulders, in particular, lovely and warm The one I bought (I now have three) is mid-thigh in length but I think you can get longer ones now. I paid about £25 I think. Washes well (machine washable) then partially tumble dried on the cool setting then hung up to finish drying. I might see if I can get a longer one. 🌹

Bought our DDs genuine Oodies and they love them. I tumble dry them with no problems.

I'd go for something wool or cashmere instead.

I have raynauds so get very cold hands and feet and I find if I wear man-made fibres I sweat and it makes them worse, but wool keeps me genuinely warm.

Worth it, my DD loves hers.

We have oodies after buying the cheaper versions last Christmas. The oodies are so much better quality, thicker, larger, washes well. Cheap ones are not comparable.

I have two of the Amazon ones. Live in them in winter. So warm and cozy

I definitely recommend looking elsewhere and saving a fortune! I got my girls them from eBay and they are huge and very warm

I actually really want a real one but £59?! Come on. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My mum bought my dd a fantastic oodie-style velour and polyester sherpa fleece thing on amazon. Fraction of the price of oodies and kuddlys (which i have). The red velour is lovely and soft but unfortunately dh stuck it in the wash with other items and promptly turned everything a delicate shade of pink. A daft thing to do in the first place, but be warned! (Not much difference between the £49 kuddly and the cheap version btw)

Branleuse · 30/08/2021 22:56

I have a kuddly and ds1 has an oodie. They are both fabulous in my draughty cold house

Mumovdan · 29/11/2021 03:54

I have the kudd.ly not the oodie, very similar in price but kudd.ly got offer on at moment for £50 each. I wear mine all the time. If you Google the top 3 they both there and tell you the difference. I've bought 6 for Christmas presents . Good luck
