Funny podcast recommendations

I've had a really awful few months but thankfully feel like I'm finally starting to turn a corner. Still feeling really down as I've been through a lot and it's hard to lift myself out of this, but I want to try and that's a start.

Anyway, I commute to work by car with a journey of about 40 minutes each way. I'm thinking that I'd like to start listening to podcasts or even something on audible on my commute, which would give me something to look forward to and a change from listening to the same old news.

Needs to be funny, something to take my mind off things, something to help me escape my current dreariness and force a laugh out of me.

Any recommendations please?

Cabin Pressure. When I first discovered it, I used to drive with tears of laughter rolling down my face.

We were listening to it today on a drive. Paris and the polar bear one which unlike Carolyn I am not even going to try to spell. Spent the rest of the day quoting it. “It is a word we ‘ave borrowed from your language…but of course we say ‘bear polar’”. “Goodbye! A grizzly bear can strip a deer’s carcass in 6 minutes!” “I’ve been dinging my summon an idiot bell for ages, and do I have an idiot to show for it?” “Is that what you meant? Nothing to be furious about? Because if so you couldn’t be more wrong.”

Also Off Menu, especially the Joe Thomas episode. It made me laugh so much I looked absolutely ridiculous while shopping.

The Blindboy podcast. He's Irish, very, very funny and I learn something new with every episode.

Lots of the ones I like have been mentioned but can I also recommend Do The Right Thing and The Treehouse.

St Elwicks Neighbourhood Association Newsletter is a total joy, although you won't really be able/allowed to enjoy it as a non-St Elwickian, plus Malcolm seems to be spending quite a lot of his free time making Three Bean Salads when he should be keeping us up to date with Local Lives and crime figures.

It makes me so happy but you're right I really should turn it off out of respect as I don't live within the boundaries
