Help I'm obsessed with John Travolta

I saw Hairspray at the theatre last night (great fun, would recommend), and it reminded me of how much I loved John Travolta in the film version.

So far today I have rewatched Grease and spent more hours than I care to add up watching clips of him dancing on YouTube.

Does anyone want to snap me out if it or, alternatively, join me in my obsession?

I have a soft spot for him too! He had a really lovely gentle voice.

I read this weird rumour/conspiracy theory once that because of Scientology he is ‘allowed’ to kill a person and they will cover it up. I don’t know exactly what it is or who made it up originally.

And to be honest I don’t think suspected homosexuality is the biggest hurdle to someone from this thread marrying John Travolta 😂

To be fair, he and Kelly Preston did seem to have a pretty solid relationship, whatever its foundations, and it was very sad when she died.

I have just convinced DH to watch Face/Off with me on the grounds that there are explosions in it (and that the only way for me to get over my currently crippling obsession is to indulge it until it goes away).

Damnit! And I truly thought I was in with a chance. Bah!

Face Off is a truly dreadful film but I watch it for the masterclass of John Travlota being the bad guy, he's so clearly enjoying every minute of it.

I did read something that suggested he doesn't take the Scientology stuff that seriously and his wife was way more into it than him, but dunno how legitimate the source was. Oh well, when we all go and hibernate in our volcanoes and wait for Xenu I will just have to make sure I am sharing a magma chamber with him.

He was a beautiful, beautiful man when he was younger. The hair, the teeth, the smile, those eyes, his dancing!! And his voice. Yep I'm a fan!

Lesser known, but was anyone else a big fan of the look who’s talking films? I watched them several times over as a kid!

Because I'm old and American, John Travolta has been in my memories for so much of my life. He had a tv show called, "Welcome Back, Kotter" in the 70's right before he appeared on "Saturday Night Fever". My sister is eight years older than me so she was 14 in 1976 and she had his posters all over our shared room and we heard that damn soundtrack over and over again.

She's 59 now and the Travolta love is still strong. To me, it was the dancing 🕺🏻
