What can I make with mince beef that doesn't include tomatoes of any kind and also isn't burgers?

That recipe sounds great - I like the idea of getting teens to cook and I am going to steal it myself!

We do love a Yorkshire pudding.

You’ve reminded me hello fresh do a spiced mince with wedges, sour cream, salsa and guacamole. We really like that. I got it as an accident but have it often now.

We had mince and onions with Yorkshire puddings a couple of weeks ago @OccultGnuAsWell - I'd forgotten just how tasty (and comforting) that is!

You could serve meatballs with onion gravy and mash as a change from with tomato sauce, or another idea is meatballs in a creamy mushroom sauce with pasta.

Oh the creamy mushroom sauce sounds delicious.

Gravy and mash proper old school I like the thought of that.

Creamy mushroom sauce is a useful basic sauce, as there are so many things you can do with it, serve on its own with pasta for a cheap quick meal, add chopped left over chicken or some diced bacon for a more substantial pasta sauce, use as a sauce in chicken pie, dress up pork chops or chicken portions are just a few.
Have a look on BBC website for an easy method. Wine Wine

Quesadillas!

AndTime · 25/08/2021 13:45

I never would have thought of using it with meatballs. I do similar with chicken and pasta though.

Absolutely LOVE Quesadillas.

Fry up very finely chopped onions, carrots (or other veg if you like). Add mince, fry until browned. add a bit of stock and herbs and reduce until nearly gone. Mix with pasta. Mix with pasta. Serve with green salad. Simple and tasty. Swiss MIL made this a lot, my family love it.
