School Uniforms?

I'm wondering how many school uniforms do most people buy?

My children have three sets of uniform and I do the uniform washes on Wednesdays and Fridays. After watching a few videos on YouTube looking for ideas on school uniform organisation, I've noticed everyone else seemed to have a set of uniform for each day. Is that the usual thing?

@liveforsummer no obviously if you are purchasing second hand uniform it’s not wasteful. I meant buying lots of new clothing specifically to wear for school. The whole concept of additional clothing for school is bad for the environment and causes financial stress for parents, stress for teachers, and sensory issues for children.

I can't see how I am buying "additional clothing for school".
My kids don't have enough non-uniform clothes to wear something decent seven days a week - they have school uniform, and enough clothes for weekends and the odd holiday. The uniform replaces non-uniform that I would have to buy if they weren't wearing uniform.

1 blazer each

Thankfully none really like wearing jumpers and they're optional. So I buy 1 just in case it's freezing but they tend not to bother

5 polo t shirts/ shirts
5 trousers

3 kids at 3 different schools makes for a lot of organising, so a set for each day is just easier for me

Enough for every day plus spares. Even though wash daily I can't be dealing with the 'oh shit I need uniform for end of the week etc' then I iron once a week.

Also, before the end of the summer term, one of dc's schools go quite easy going on uniform and encourage anyone that has uniform with wear in it but doesn't fit - to donate it to school.

Before the end of term, the school lay out the uniform outside on tables and parents are free to take what they need. Wish all schools did this
