A colonoscopy question

Hello all,

I am preparing for my colonoscopy in two days time. I am pretty clued up on what I should expect. However, I've decided not to take sedation and just use gas and air. I wanted to ask, as it wasn't mentioned on past threads about other peoples experiences about getting a colonoscopy, but what does it feel like when the camera goes inside your bum. This is the part I'm dreading! I'm worried that it will be painful.

You’re not meant to eat/drink anything red so probably avoid? Clear ice poles maybe
I had a colonoscopy in December, movi prep was fine wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be. Never felt the thing go in either. Was sedated although didn’t really feel like I was felt totally normal. Hope yours goes ok op

No they have blackcurrant in them. It might make it look like you have bleeding. Your prep letter should have explained that.
The nurse said it was fine as it does not have juice... only flavouring colouring. I just ate one. Hopefully, I will poop it out

Make sure you wear something comfy for after, I looked 7 month pregnant afterwards!!

Procedure itself was OK and I wasn't offered anything! Bit uncomfortable towards the end but not like labour pain.
