Tough! Ruby Tuesday/Satisfaction/you can't always get what you want might supplant one of those, mood depending.

WildRosie · 16/08/2021 04:57

I see Sympathy For The Devil is a popular choice. I'm aware of the song but I've only heard it once or twice.

They were quite a versatile band and probably still are. Their styles included R&B (Little Red Rooster), ballads (Fool To Cry), disco lite (Miss You) and funk-rock (Undercover Of The Night).

Not quite Rolling Stones but Bill Wyman made one or two respectable solo singles in the early '80s. I wasn't that keen on 'Si Si Je Suis Un Rock Star' but I quite liked 'A New Fashion'.

Reminds me of my student years and not necessarily in a good way. I don't revist them that often for that reason.

WildRosie · 26/08/2021 23:15

I wonder what Charlie Watts' favourite RS songs were ??

OP posts:
Seiheiki · 27/08/2021 00:22

Ruby Tuesday (my divorce song)
Start Me Up
Satisfaction
Honky Tonk Woman

I've been lucky enough to see them live twice, including sesing what turned out to be Charlie's last English show.

Rest in peace you musical genius of a gentleman.
