First horse ride

I'm a middle aged woman doing my first private lesson tomorrow. I'm excited but nervous. Does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom?

That makes me feel better! We did three goes and I was definitely better the last Time till I wrecked the rhythm! I'm quite a private person and I learned to run a half marathon myself and did a triathlon by myself. I wish I had a sneaky horse I could practise on when no one was looking like when I went for a sneaky run down the path in the dark or went to an open swim session ! The 1:1 gives
Me so much stress but I really liked her so hopefully I'll get her till I'm signed off for group lessons!

I'm a primary teacher by the way. I don't mind doing silly things in public! But I just want to do my best when I'm trying.
