Does drinking alcohol make you feel sick?

Everytime I drink alcohol I feel sick the next day.
Today I was actually sick.
I had 1 cocktail in 1 bar
3 vodka lemonade (singles) in bar 2
2 vodka lemonade in 3rd bar
3 Malibu lemonade in last bar and a sambuca shot

It made me feel so sick but I ate before I went out and drank a glass of water when I got in.

My friend never feels sick after drinking
Does anyone else feel like this ?

^ that’s why you felt ill. I wouldn’t start drinking in the house either, it’s a bad habit that’s hard to kick.
I used to have a terrible hangover with 3 pints of lager, over an evening.

Yes i'd be sick from that amount of sugar and alcohol together

Haha alcohol makes me vomit after 3 or 4 drinks which is why i rarely drink it and when I do I try to be sensible because let’s face it, who wants to vomit?

People keep saying to me I need to drink more to build up a tolerance but when I was a teen / at uni, I was pissed daily, therefore vomited daily, and it made no difference. Also it was terrible advice.

I’m old enough now just to not bother and not be arsed about peer pressure. It doesn’t agree with me at all!

Mixing drinks gets me too.

I never used to get hangovers when I started going out but do more often now so I'm far more careful with what and how much I drink. I will never touch vodka again.

Yes, if I drink a lot.

If I drink too much that evening, I'll get sick. If I get a hangover, I'm likely to be sick. My hangovers go to my stomach rather than my head. But you had quite a lot, especially if you're not a regular drinker. I'm not surprised you were sick TBH.

Jesus! I have two drinks and that’s it. I.m on the tonic water after that.

I don’t get sick but my arms hurt when I drink.

Also Malibu is very sweet. I love it but too much and I feel sick from the sweetness alone.

I would if I drank those. I can easily have a bottle of wine of an evening, and only on the odd occasion do I have a bit of a headache the next day. I almost wish I did get more hungover. Maybe the fact you don’t drink that often means you have a lower tolerance than your friend.

I'm not a big drinker and over 6 hours that number of single drinks all diluted with lemonade doesn't sound that much to me, I'm not getting all the shock and horror...it's not like having ten glasses of wine.

I can’t drink much alcohol before I feel sick. I never have been sick from alcohol though

You don't think 9 shots is a lot because 8 of them were diluted?

The cocktail probably had 2-3 shots in it as well.

One shot is equivalent to one glass of wine so it is absolutely the same or worse.

Vodka is 40% alcohol at least. Wine could be anything from 5% to 20%.

Yes I'd be sick if I drank that volume and combination of alcohol.
A standard gin and tonic or glass of wine is fine though.

Is this for real? Surely you know that too much alcohol (and you had LOTS) causes hangovers and vomiting?

You drank loads of poison, and then ate a pizza. It wasn't the pizza that made you sick.

Grape & grain is true plus definitely reafy salted crisps for a brek hangover!
