My sisters have an annual trip away with our mum. No partners or children. Staying in the UK this year and have managed to get a holidays home of Mum’s friend in Southwold, late August.

One sister is a teacher so we’ve been very limited in what we could get. Have all been there before with our families. Any ideas what to do as a group of adults?

We aren’t outdoorsy. No bike rides please Grin but happy to do some walks.

Anywhere to eat you would recommend or local towns/attractions? Will have cars so happy to drive within 1hr ish.

I like Southwold but the toilets near the pier have always been so disgusting that it’s put me off going back 🤢

We had a lovely trip to Beccles a few years ago. There was an outdoor pool with a nice café and a brilliant vintage shop where we spent ages browsing.

Ipswich is worth a visit & Yoxford Antique Centre (the tea room is OK but there is a nice pub on the main road a bit further on the burgers where to die for lovely outside area at the front

You could always book yourselves in for a skydive at Ukparachuting in Beccles!

Yep they’re always horrible. The public ones near the Church are a bit better but to be honest you’re best to go when you visit a cafe somewhere!

Don't forget the Under the Pier Show at Southwold. Blythburgh is notable for its angel roof, some of which still have Roundhead bullet holes.
