What is everyone doing today?

We have a 4 and a 1 year old and they have been in the paddling pool this morning but the 1yr old isn't feeling it at all, she's gone inside. Maybe it's too hot for her.
MIL is coming round to play with the children and we are having pizza for tea because I can't cook in this heat.

I love threads like this, like the "what can you hear now" thread, they give me such comfort.

Sun guilt here too. I love sunshine but these days I find it uncomfortable to sit in the sun longer than about 20 minutes. I've had a tough week, I'll go out and sit in the shade in a bit but at the moment I'm lying on my sofa looking outside thinking I should be out there.

Kids have all had footy this morning. Easy lunch and mowing the lawn this afternoon . Book in the hammock to cool off. BBQ tonight and then off to the beach for a swim with the kids at about 8pm when the tourists have gone!

Picked the kids up from my parents this morning as they had them last night, dash to sainsburys for a load of ice creams and BBQ stuff tomorrow.
Paddling pool is up, kids have had an hour in it and gone inside, think it’s too warm for them.
DH has just gone to work, i’ve got two old phones to put on ebay later.
Pizzas for tea because cba cooking.
Gin & tonics when the kids are in bed!

Did lots of house work yesterday after work including loads of washing so today could be a lazy day.
I was outside at 8am hanging the washing out ....when big mouth neighbour came out shouting at her dog.....who woke up DH and DS who were supposed to be having a much needed lie in.

So apart from simple meals we are just at home today not doing much which is rare.

Sitting in the shady bit of the garden enjoying some time off.

DS is isolating as covid close contact about half way through.

DD went to orthodontist with DH to get braces refitted.

I had my second az vaccine yesterday and feel a bit rubbish still so just resting. Watched 90 day fiance.

Just had lunch of pork and apple burgers in buns and pickled onions.

I woke up with a migraine so Dh popped to Boots to get some tablets (I’ve not had one for ages but had a real shitty week not sure if that’s the reason I’ve got one).I’m currently on the sofa with the dog who’s snoring away.
Dh has gone on a bike ride with one of his friends
Dd is tidying her room although she feels under the weather.One of her friends was due to stay tonight but she’s rearranged it for one night next week as says she’s not in the mood.
Going to have a takeaway later as I usually go food shopping on Saturday but couldn’t face it today.

Been to buy a present for a friend and done the food shopping. Sat in the garden with a coffee and a croissant and a very rare purchase of a magazine. But... the garden is a total state as have not had chance to weed and mow since the torrential rain the other week, so it is too depressing to sit in 😔 I have got the lawnmower out and will summon up the energy to do that, although it is so quiet round here today, I feel guilty for disturbing the neighbours.

Ds is isolating, his bubble popped so we're in. Been out in the garden and paddling pool but come in for a bit 'coz of the heat.

Early walk in the woods with the dog at 8 am, then pretty much bugger all since then apart from reading and doing embroidery in the garden.

BBQ lit and there's a bottle of fizz in the freezer .....

Nothing, we are isolating but I don't actually mind as we can just sit in the garden and do nothing! I need to clean the house but its not 6.20pm and I haven't showered, made the bed or cleaned the house, I've just sat outside all day and it's been lovely!!!
