And a big yy to swingball, every year we have a family tournament we have named Swingballdon (like Wimbledon Grin ) - it’s so much fun, even the 17 and 16yo bedroom dwellers look forward to it. Just make sure you order spare balls!

I really don’t understand these threads our family had more than one CEV we didn’t leave our house/garden from March lockdown till August. You have a lovely house , garden and are a family, it’s 10 days it’s no big deal.l

MyDcAreMarvel I think personality plays a massive part in this- my mum would be (and was when she had to isolate!) climbing up the walls by day 3, my son is OK for a couple of days though would struggle to just be inside (small yard) and I'd be just fine.

Sorry I lost all sympathy when u said u have a garden and big house 🤣 online shop and have loads of bbqs, sports in the garden? Just enjoy the sun and enjoy ur house x

OK that's me told.
Was actually hoping to chat and was enjoying it. Thanks to those who made suggestions.

How about an online escape room in the evening? Or a quizz where you everyone designs one round? The winner then gets to choose dinner/takeaways and the looser has some kind of forfeit? Though to be honest we exhausted the whole jolly families vibe in the first lockdown so would probably be screens/booze in the garden. Would definitely do padding pool though

I spent quite a bit of time during self isolation getting clothes ready to pack for a holiday. We're not going for several weeks, but it felt like a useful thing to do...

My kids have spent quite a lot of time with the hose.

SummerHouse · 17/07/2021 13:52

I think a specific timetable can help you feel productive. Shit job, nice job rotation. E.g clean bathroom / at home spa session.

Totally get in that paddling pool.

Have an excellent TV series to watch every night. I think it's really comforting to routinely watch something. And make it good!

My kids set up an assault course in the garden, incorporating the paddling pool and I filmed and timed them doing it. They loved it, and they're 16 & 13!
