Why would they receive a request not to deliver our mail? Nobody here has given that instruction. It’s DH’s birthday and he was thinking nobody cared!

Had exactly the same, a parcel from Zara and we also haven't had post for a few days. I don't think it's a scam.

My DD got the same message once when I’d sent her some letterbox flowers. She went to the sorting office but they told her the parcel was in a van but they had no one to deliver to her street so would be delivered the next working day. Fortunately they were still okay when they did get delivered. She made a complaint about the misleading correspondence and got a book of first class stamps as “compensation”.

Stating that they’ve had a request to not deliver means they don’t have to compensate any senders who have paid for next day or guaranteed deliveries. Very sneaky.

It's a scam. I know this because I traipsed all the way to the sodding sorting office where the nice sorting man told me.

We couldn't work out what the scam was, unless it's to boost the parking revenue from the nearby meters.

You always have to wait until the next working day to collect something RM haven't been able to deliver though, so not a surprise your parcel wasn't there.
