Porthcurno holiday -tips needed

We are off to Porthcurno soon but no idea about where to buy food from. I don't think there are any local shops and I doubt Tesco deliver there during the holidays. Anyone know what is best to do?
We can take a few bits down with us but will need to buy food as we are self catering.
Also any other tips for the area - where to go (apart from Minack theatre!) would be appreciated.

I would have no problem paddling at Porthcurno. Yes it can be rough, but not every day and when it is it’s clear that it’s rough.

Porthcurno shelves quite quickly. Paddling fine as long as you stay at the edge and can swim. I would watch children really carefully. I love Porthcurno but don't regard it as a benign family beach

Thank you all - some really good suggestions here

Hey!

If you want great food then head to Logans rock inn or if you're self catering then you're best bet is going toward Penzance with the choice of all supermarkets, sainsburys, b&m, morrisons, tesco but not asda.

Things to do in the area, you could definitely checkout pedn vounder beach i found that website with directions to parking was really good, there is also a very good cafe at Porthcurno near the car park.

Other things to do i would checkout Penzance, St Ives obviously, maybe surf there if you are into that? and head down the Lizard peninsula to Kynance cove, such a beautiful part of the world and very quiet on the lizard compared to St ives
