I'm getting married in hospital today

A few of you might remember my thread from a few weeks back about how my partner was taken ill on holiday and was diagnosed with cancer just a few days after.

Unfortunately Mr Mouse has terminal cancer and perhaps has a few days to a week left with us.

So today we are getting married in the hospital Chapel 😀

The hospital have been fantastic but I'm in pieces inside but happy that we can have the chance to marry

Weddings at 2pm :)

I followed your previous thread, I didn't contribute as I didn't feel I had anything useful to say but I've been thinking of you. I hope yesterday was a lovely day for you both. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Mouse

Ohh wow. I've just come on now and 8 didn't expect to to have nearly 1000 reply. Thank you all

We had an absolute wonderful day and I can't thank the hospital enough for everything they have done to get us down the aisle. They contacted supermarkets and a bridal shop to find me a dress and my flowers and a cake and buffet and decorated a day room so we could have a mini reception. All in less than 24 hours in the Chapel with our families vicar.

The hospital closed off corridors and my work colleagues lined the corridor outside the Chapel too.

Mr mouses face when he saw me was a picture and I will never forget the smile on his face as I walked towards him. Hes so frail but he made it and I'm so proud of him.

The hospital ward and the chaplain, macmillan and palliative care have been amazing, not only looking after him but making sure I'm ok

I never expected to be in this horrible situation but I'm surrounded by a lot of love
