Has anyone ever done one.

I haven't I'm terrified but my DH has when he was a teenager. Says it absolutely moved.

I dont know what I'm asking really just how real do people think they are?

I saw a programme years ago I can't remember what it was called but it scared the shit out of me.

Are they actually real?

Yes I played with a friend when we were teens.
No they aren't real.

I said something along the lines of is anyone there, knock once for yes and twice for no

Yes, you read that right. Do two knocks if you're not there. Blush

Anyway. There was an almighty bang and my friend and I ran downstairs, crapping ourselves.

To see my sister in the kitchen with a long mop or broom or something in her hands, a dent in the ceiling and a huge grin on her face.

The dent's still there some 30 plus years later.

As is the grin on her face.

I've never used one - I am open to 'woo' stuff but honestly - its a board game.

My dad always warned me off them when I was young because his friends teenager had a bit of a breakdown after using one, I think his friends had been pushing it as a wind up and made it say bad stuff and it just affected this poor boy really badly.

So, best avoided.

I've never done one and I won't either.

I've been down a bit of a wormhole recently when I've been surfing the net of a night before I go to sleep.

I can't seem to stop reading about scary stuff lately.

I will stop now though because DH is away two nights next week and I want to have a couple of nights just chilling and reading. I also want to get in the hot tub on my own.

I was reading about black eyed children last time he was away and scared myself shitless.

We did one and we took our fingers off as we all thought each other were moving. It moved around by itself crazy then tipped over and we all screamed. Never again !!

I have practised the occult for 40 years and won't touch one.

I think another research project conducted properly in a neutral environment with unrelated participants could be interesting, if some of them are susceptible to woo ideas anyway.

I mean why would you? If you don’t believe there’s no point and if you do believe it’s a crazy idea. I don’t believe personally so would probably just play monopoly instead of pushing a piece of plastic around spelling stuff.

You do sound a bit scared/nervous though so I don’t think you should. Your brain is more likely to imagine scary stuff because it’s already there.
